The Prophet-Seer Collection -the Chronicle
I am not set forth a prolonged teaching about Prophets and Seers. There seems to be a lot of confusion about the word "Prophetic". For simplification, prophetic is an adjective and prophet is a noun. One can receive prophetic insights and be inclined to hear or see the heart of God without standing in the office of prophet.
All the pieces are inspired through a Prophetic-Seer gift. Most of my writing is from my personal experiences and the way they work in my own life. I must say that all of the pieces came from time in The Secret Place. Obviously, the Collection by the same name is my life story on canvas. In 1997, I had a dream in which I was outside the realm of time talking to the Father about what I saw in His heart and what I was seeing in various people on earth. It is a perfect example of a prophetic seer -one who sees into the heart of God and is able to articulate it and bring clarity to others. For sake of time, I will share the part that was preparing me to create the art that is seen in this collection.
Excerpt of revelation from the dream (the entire dream is on the website -it is called Rewriting the Book)
The Holy Spirit revealed that the Lord and I were seeing the people as they were walking out their destiny IN the realm of TIME. The other story I saw was in the spiritual realm OUTSIDE of TIME -He had allowed me to see the story as it was in His heart from before the foundation of the world. I was seeing the desire of His heart. The one in His heart was not on paper, but like a video playing a movie with lots of different story lines, plots, and characters. I was becoming frustrated with the process of 'them walking their part of the story out'. Being a writer, knowing how the story was going to end, and "waiting, waiting, waiting "to see the final draft was really getting to me.
In this piece the surroundings are hazy as is our life many times. When we are alone in a place, where we cannot see clearly, because so much is going on -we must focus on the word. This reminds me of when I heard Kim Clement say that at times he cannot see his own stuff as clearly as that of others. When two prophets meet, you may find them saying, "you are OK, how am I?
Not only do Seers soar, many times, they must come down into places that are unclear to get a closer look. Without knowing His word intimately and having spent time in the secret place, we cannot bring clarity to situations. You can never speak for Lord unless you have been intimate with and love His word. In Psalms He says that He has magnified His word above His name.
…For Your lovingkindness and Your truth; For You have magnified Your word above all Your name. In the day when I cried out, You answered me, And made me bold with strength in my soul. Ps 138:2-3 NKJV
And I sought a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none. Ezek 22:30 AMP
You cannot really be a Prophetic Seer or without being an Intercessor. An intercessor stands in the gap for others. Poised selflessly, the intercessor is focused on what is in the heart of God. With eyes off "self" and their problems, they literally lay down their lives for others. This is not an easy task and requires ultimate trust in God.
Isa 59:16 AMP And He saw that there was no man and wondered that there was no intercessor [no one to intervene on behalf of truth and right]; therefore His own arm brought Him victory, and His own righteousness [having the Spirit without measure] sustained Him. [Isa 53:11; Col 2:9; 1 John 2:1, 2.]
1 John 2:1 AMP MY LITTLE children, I write you these things so that you may not violate God's law and sin.
But if anyone should sin, we have an Advocate (one Who will intercede for us) with the Father--[it is] Jesus
Christ [the all] righteous [upright, just, Who conforms to the Father's will in every purpose, thought, and action].
This piece depicts the ultimate Intercessor the man Jesus as He prayed to the Father in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus was the most selfless man that ever lived -the one who literally laid His life down for us and ever lives to make intercession for us. Now that He is no longer here, He has passed the torch to us -may we be faithful to stand in the gap -that He may not wee and wonder that there was no intercessor.
(Hab 2:1-3 KJV) I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry..
Of the many watchmen scriptures from which I could have chosen, Habakkuk seemed the fit. I stand my watch to SEE what He will say. Many times, I see things from afar …long before I hear. As the time and distance begin to collapse, I begin to hear the voice of God speaking through the thing I see. Write the vision, make it plain, and wait for the appointed time.
At times, we can neither see nor hear clearly, because we need to hearken to the written word that says, come up here (Rev 4:1) or draw nigh unto God and He will draw nigh (James 4:8) unto you. At other times, the gap exists in the sovereignty of God …awaiting the clarity and timing that He has ordained.
Habakkuk had a burden that was overwhelming. He was weary of seeing the will of God seemingly postponed …weary of seeing sin and iniquity abound. It is as though he is saying why do You let me see all this "stuff", if You are not going to hasten your word to perform it? I cry out, and You do nothing about it. This is a natural example of the prophetic insight in the spiritual realm. Seeing things contrary to the will and purposes of God should provoke us to cry out for change continuously, until it manifest in the natural Whether in the natural or spiritual it is our responsibility to stand our watch and cry out until righteousness rains down from above.
The lone eagle depicted here is symbolic of the limited perspective of a single watchman. See also the prophet is "expecting …even open to reproof or correction". Sometimes prophets judge what they see and God must bring clarity to their spirit …a course adjustment or correction.
He must fly higher and closer until He can see Eye to Eye with the Son, who is omniscient, and omnipresent. God is not blind to the activities in the natural realm, neither is He moved by them. He has seen the end from the beginning. He is not constrained by time pressures or single-perspective views, as are we. He is "all in all" and sees "all in all".
Hab 2; 2 Write the vision and make it plain, that he may run that that reads it. While God gives us visions/dreams that relate personally, His plan/vision has a broader scope …one that affects the entire earth.
Gathering Of the Generals
"You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself." Ex 19:4
I sense that the eagles are once again stirring their nests. They have remained aloof… separated unto God, dwelling upon the Rock and soaring in the High Places. From the high places they have seen from God's perspective …from these heights, they could see the enemy well in advance. They have plunged so close to the camp they could hear their enemies whispering …they have overheard both the strategies and weaknesses of those who oppose the Kingdom. During the journey, the Generals pressed in close to God's heart to hear His battle plans.
The prophetic watchman soars to greater heights; seeing from a different perspective as "seated with Christ in Heavenly places". Yet, they see in part and prophesy in part. At this junction in time, God wants to gather these Generals as a functioning-focused end time victorious army.
Jointly and severally, generals around the world have been given end-time strategies. At the appointed time, they shall mount upon His command. As in the natural, during war or threats to peace and safety, the generals are summoned. They gather to compare notes …to bring fresh-different perspectives to "the strategy table. We find two kinds of generals in God's military, those who see the plan, and those who implement it.
In times of war, the generals in the various branches of the Armed Forces come together to consider data gathered internationally. They consider "how" the plan, the timing …even the most insignificant actions will affect the picture globally. How much more should we employ strategy, and understanding in governing in the spirit realm?
Timing is the most important element in times of war. The time/seasons, the weapons, the provision, and the troops …all the components and essentials must be in place before the strategy can work. The word says. "The Lord goes before you; He shall fight for you". (Duet 1:30) A fire goes before Him, and burns up his enemies round about. (Psa 97:3) If we wait upon Him the path -the conditions will be favorable for victory. The troops will never suffer battle fatigue if all is prepared beforehand. The word also says that the battle belongs to the Lord. Throughout the word, the Lord chose the battle. The word also says that the battle is the Lord's; He is called the Lord of Hosts and a man of war. (Exo 15:3) He is also known as the God of Peace. In 1 Chron 12:22, David gathered the Generals -the chiefs -the sons of Issachar who understood the times. A key point in the next passage is that they came together in unity and undivided loyalty to the cause -not of double heart or purpose, but stable and trustworthy.
Isa 54:16- Behold, I have created the smith that blows the coals in the fire, and that bring forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. I have always found this to be a curious scripture. Matthew Henry's comments bring clarification He says, "Military men value themselves on their splendid titles, but God calls them, "Wasters made to destroy", for they make wasting and destruction their business. He created them, therefore he will serve his own designs by them" To his own He says in verse 17, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. This holds true if we go into the battle at His bidding and timing.
In December 1999, a great man said God revealed to him that the two wings on an eagle represented the foundational ministries of the 'Apostles and Prophets …providing the two basic principles of flight, namely Lift, and Thrust. The Prophet provides the ability to Lift the Church (into Spiritual, or Heavenly things), and the Apostle (the 'Sent' One) provides the Thrust (or the Ability to quickly advance the Church forward into the things of God.
For years, great leaders have longed for the gathering of the generals. Ruth Ward Heflin along with many others waited in great expectation for a time when they would gather. However, this generation will see that which the patriarchs were only able to dream about
Their gathering will be a remarkable sight! They have learned discipline, the discipline of silence - solitude - and the seemingly endless waiting, waiting, waiting. The Generals have endured and observed the massive onslaughts of the enemy …but they have been restrained until such a time as this. See them gathering for "summit talks" in a position of humility …at the watering hole of God's spirit. In that place the end-time battle plan will be set in motion and consummated. There will be unity …their hearts will beat as one, their vision is the freedom, victory, and advancement of the Kingdom.
Glenda Wilson is a passionate student of scripture and has been a prophetic and revelational writer for a number of years. In 2001, she began a new journey …Renderings of the Heart ™ ...a collection of illustrations and writings inspired by dreams, revelation, life experiences, and observations. The most amazing thing about the art is that prior to September 11, she had never created a piece of art. She has had no formal training. He placed His Spirit on the artisans of old, and once again He is supernaturally empowering His people to accomplish His purposes.
Her art, writing, and speaking covers a broad spectrum; from healing the broken-hearted to releasing creativity and revelational gifts. At the heart of everything, is an agenda to teach people how to understand and maximize moments of visitation from the Lord.
The writings that accompany the pieces are as life-changing as the art. God beckons the viewer to go to that place of revelation that He has within each piece …there the Holy Spirit ministers it in a most personal way. In the privacy of their own home, God works through the art and writing to minister His purpose, which for many is something that is better experienced alone with God.
